By using this form, you can indicate to the system that you cleared the cheque received.
The Cheque (Received) Clearing form
Make sure that the Check Number field shows the correct cheque number.
The Clearing Date field is populated with the current date; you can select another date if needed.
Use the NonCash / Cash buttons to specify how the cheque was cleared:
- Noncash: If the cheque amount will credit the bank account to which the cheque was deposited. In the Bank Account field, specify the bank account involved.
- Cash: If you received cash on clearing the cheque.
Click the Clear button in the upper-left area of the form to clear the check and generate either a bank receipt or cash receipt according to the selected option.
