This chapter of the User Guide includes information on how you can use FirstBIT ERP to efficiently manage cash inflows and outflows; it provides information on documents used in financial processes of collecting, handling, and using cash.

Before you start creating or importing any financial documents, you may need to add all the currencies used by your organization and define their exchange rates with respect to the national currency or national currencies if your entities operate in different countries. You also need to create master records for banks, bank and cash accounts used by your organization. For details, refer to Money: Master Data.

The main types of documents that can be used for recording and posting cash transactions with all the required details are described in the following sections.
