This functionality is available only if the Enable Automatic Discounts and Markups option is selected on the Administration > Settings > Sales form. 

To access the Automatic Discount Conditions document list, go to: Sales > Service Tools > Automatic Discount Conditions. 

Automatic discount conditions can be created separately from discounts or in the process of creating discounts. The same discount conditions can be used for multiple discounts. 

The Automatic Discount Conditions list 

The list of automatic discount conditions includes all the automatic discount conditions available in the system. If you don't see a specific discount condition, use the Search field to locate the condition by a string in its description. You can change the list display settings to suit your particular needs. To learn more about the list display settings, see Working with the item list. 

The automatic discount conditions can be arranged in a hierarchy structure using groups (folders). The number of hierarchy levels is virtually unlimited.

The toolbar buttons

To manually create a new condition for automatic discounts, click the Create button on the toolbar; for details, refer to Creating an Automatic Discount Condition. Also, discount conditions can be created when you define a new discount. 

To edit an existing discount condition, double-click the line with the discount condition in the Automatic Discount Conditions list. You can also select the line, right-click it, and select Edit or click More actions > Edit on the toolbar.

 Click the Create group button to create groups (folders) for automatic discounts and markups.

In the Automatic Discount Conditions (create folder) form, to create a group, enter its description.

If the created group is a part of another group, specify the parent group in the Folder field. 

<Auto> in the Code field indicates that the system will assign a unique identifier to this group once you save it. 

Provide any relevant details about this group of discount conditions by using the Additional Information text box. 

Click Save to save the new group or the Save and close button to save the group and close the form. 

Then, you can populate the group by creating new automatic discount conditions or moving the existing discount conditions by using the drag-and-drop method.
