The functionality of the Sales module is configurable; you can select the options that fit your business processes on the Administration > Settings > Sales form. For details, refer to Settings: Sales.

Using this module, you can create and maintain master records for customers, customer contracts, items, item price types, and sales payment terms.
Also, you can assign prices to items, define automatic discounts and discount application conditions.

With the Sales module, you can easily use any of sales processes that might involve quotations, customer orders, proforma invoices, and invoices.
You can reserve inventory items for specific customer orders and cancel reservations when needed.

Using multiple reports, you can easily track sales, estimate revenues and profitability, and analyze aged receivables. If your business delvers orders before they are paid, you can set up credit limits for specific customers.
