To access the Tax Credit Notes list, select Sales > Sales Documents > Tax Credit Notes.


The Tax Credit Notes list

The list of tax credit notes includes all the tax credit notes available in the system. If you don't see specific documents, rearrange the list by date, document number or use the Search field to locate the document by a string in its description, company name, or contract number. You can change the list display settings to suit your particular needs; for details refer to Working with the item list.

A Tax Credit Note document registers an adjustment made to the taxable amount of the supplies sold and the corresponding output VAT amount in cases of returns, invoice corrections, additional discounts applied, or rebates issued for the customer.

Generally, you can generate tax credit notes automatically for documents of the following types: Credit Note, Payment Receipt (Advance), Cheque Receipt (Advance), Petty Cash Receipt (Advance), or Output VAT Transaction. For this, in the appropriate document you click Generate > Tax Credit Note on the toolbar or click the Generate Tax Credit Note button at the bottom of the open document.

Also, you can create a new Tax Credit Note document manually by clicking Create on the toolbar.

To edit an existing document, double-click the line with the document in the Tax Credit Notes list. You can also select the line, right-click it and select Edit or click More actions > Edit on the toolbar.
