Use this tab to list the documents which amounts must be adjusted by the amount of the credit note with the Mutual Settlement Adjustment transaction type.

You can leave the Documents tab empty: in this case, the credit note itself can be used as credit (advance) for future supplies or as the basis for refunding the customer.

To add the document, click the Add button. Also, you can add a line with no document specified.

The Document Amount and Contract columns are filled in automatically from the selected invoices and are not editable.

The Rate and Factor columns are filled in automatically according to the contract currencies in the invoices.

In the Project column, you can specify the project affected by this transaction.

In the Project Task column, you can specify the project affected by this transaction.

In the Department column, you can specify the entity's departments, which are affected by this transaction.

In the Expense Item column, select the item from the Expense Items list to link the expense incurred from this adjustment.

Use the Up and Down ( Image Added ) buttons to rearrange the documents in the list.

Once you added all the invoices you wanted, you can

distribute the note's amount among the documents by

clicking the Distribute Amount

...

 button and

...

selecting from the following options:

  • Proportion to the Number of Invoices: To distribute the credit note amount among all documents evenly.
  • Proportion to the Amounts of Invoices: To distribute the credit note amount proportionally to the amounts.

Alternatively, you can manually allocate the credit note amount to documents in the Credit Note Amount column. Make sure the sum of the column amounts is equal to the document amount.
