To access the Preparations for Fixed Asset Sales document list, go to Asset Management > Fixed Asset Documents > Preparations for Fixed Asset Sales.  Only fixed assets with the Active status can be listed in such documents.

Documents of this type are available if the Enable Preparations for Fixed Asset Sale option is selected on the Administration Settings > Asset Management form.

After some period of fixed asset usage, the organization may decide to sell the asset; however, the sale may require certain time - one or more periods. The fixed asset gets the Held for Sale  status and its net book value will be recorded to the GL account named as Assets Held for Sale and removed from the Fixed Asset GL account. Also, depreciation calculation for the listed assets can be stopped.


The Preparations for Fixed Asset Sale list

The Preparations for Fixed Asset Sales list includes all the Preparation for Fixed Asset Sale documents available in the system. If you don't see a specific document, rearrange the list by date or document number or use the Search field to locate the document by the sales amount, or a string in fixed asset description. You can change the list display settings to suit your particular needs. To learn more about the list display settings, see Working with the item list.

The toolbar buttons

To manually create a new document of the Preparation for Fixed Asset Sales type, click the Create button on the toolbar.
