Using this form, you can add a new discount or markup (extra charge) type.
On this form, there are two required fields: Description and Percent.
The "Discount (Markup) Type (create)" form
In the Description field, type a brief description of a discount type or markup type.
To define a type of discounts, in the Percent field enter a positive value as the discount percentage.
To define a type of markups, in the Percent field enter a negative value as the markup percentage.
<Auto> in the Code field indicates that the system will assign a unique identifier to the new discount or markup type once you save it.
Use the Additional Information text box to provide an explanation of the discount or markup type and recommendations when to use it.
Click the Save button to save the new discount or markup type or the Save and close button to save the type and close the form.
