To access the Conservations of Fixed Assets document list, go to Asset Management > Fixed Assets > Conservations of Fixed Assets. Only fixed assets with the Active status can be placed in conservation.

Documents of this type are available if the Enable Conservation of Fixed Assets option is selected on the Administration > Settings > Asset Management form.

After some period of fixed asset usage, the organization may decide to stop the usage due to various reasons and to stop depreciation calculation. For this, you can place the fixed asset into conservation for some time interval. The fixed asset's status changes to In Conservation and the net book value will remains the same during the conservation period. However, the depreciation calculation will be resumed and the status will change to Active once conservation of the fixed asset is cancelled.


The Conservations of Fixed Asset list

The Conservations of Fixed Assets list includes all the Conservation of Fixed Assets documents available in the system. If you don't see a specific document, rearrange the list by date or document number or use the Search field to locate the document by the fixed asset description. You can change the list display settings to suit your particular needs. To learn more about the list display settings, see Working with the item list.

The toolbar buttons

If you need to start conservation of specific fixed assets, click the Create button to create a new Conservation of Fixed Assets document with the Start of Conservation transaction type, add the fixed assets to the list.

If you need to cancel conservation of specific fixed assets, select the document that starts their conservation, then click Generate > Conservation of Fixed Assets  - the document with the Cancellation of Fixed Asset Conservation transaction type will be created.
