The Other Sections tab becomes available once you select the Other Sections option on the Main tab,
Using this tab, you can enter the balances for the GL accounts for which you cannot enter the beginning balances through other options.

In the Dr / Cr column, specify the type of balance you're entering: Debit or Credit, depending on the on the account type (Asset or Liability).
In the Account column, select the account (from the chart of accounts) which beginning balance you want to enter.
In the Account's Analytics column, specify the additional information on dimensions, which are required for the selected account. For this, click the <><> link. The Dimensions: Account dialog box opens.

In the Amount (Curr.) column, enter the opening balance in the currency of the account.
In the Currency column, select the currency of the balance you enter.
The Amount column is populated with the amount in the accounting currency which is calculated using the exchange rates on the date of the document.
In the Transaction Content column, you can specify the posting description, if needed.
