To access the Tax Group Liability Transfer service tool, select Taxes (left pane) > Service Tools > Tax Group Liability Transfer.
This tool is available if the Enable Tax Groups option is selected on the Administration > Settings > General Settings form. For more information on the functionality of group taxation, refer to Overview of Tax Groups.
This service tool was developed for automatic generation of tax documents that would determine tax liabilities of all members of the selected group and transfer the liabilities from each ordinary member of this group to the group representative.
Make sure that the Transfer Tax Liability on Date field shows the correct date of the operation, or select another date if needed.
In the Tax Group field, select a tax group for which you will generate all the necessary tax transactions.

Click the Generate Documents button to initiate generation of all the required documents. These documents will be listed in a table below on the form.
The Tax Liability Transfer with the list of generated documents
The documents of the following types can appear in the list:
- VAT Calculation Liability: To determine the VAT liability for each ordinary member. If the entity had quit the group or joined the group during the tax period, then the VAT liability is calculated only for the days of membership. Created for each ordinary group member.
- Tax Transaction: To move the VAT liability from an ordinary entity. Created for each ordinary group member.
- Tax Transaction: To accept the VAT liability of an ordinary member by the Representative Member. Created for each ordinary group member.
- VAT Calculation Liability: To determine the consolidated VAT liability for the Representative Member. This document is generated last.
You can review the documents, edit them if needed. Then, you must post them.
Note. To be able to post a tax transaction, make sure an appropriate GL account is selected in the Correspondent Account column. For more information on generated tax transactions, refer to Overview of Tax Groups.
The table toolbar buttons
Review the documents listed in a table on this form. You can use the following toolbar buttons to process the documents selected in the list:
- – To move the selected document up or down the list.
- – To post the selected documents
- – To clear posting of the selected documents.
- – To mark the selected documents for deleting.
