This form can be used for canceling the inventory reservation made earlier for specific customer orders.
If you are creating this document manually, first of all, make sure that Cancel Reserve is selected in the Transaction Type field.
The Inventory Reservation (create) form. The Main tab
<Auto> in the Number field indicates that a number for this document is assigned automatically when you save the document. The From field is populated automatically with the current business date.
You can select another date, if necessary.
The Customer Order field is populated automatically if the Inventory Reserve (Cancel) was created from a customer order or was generated for a single or multiple customer orders using the Sales > Sales Documents > Customer Orders form. If you are creating this document manually, select the order for which cancellation of the stock reservation is required in the Customer Order field. If the reserve to be canceled includes items from multiple customer orders, you can move the Customer Order field from the Main tab as the Customer Order column to the table on the Inventory tab. For this, use the Settings button on the toolbar (for more information, see Document Toolbar).
In the Entity field, select the legal entity of your company which is responsible for this reserve.
The Basis field is populated automatically, if this reserve cancellation was generated from the specific customer order.
In the Comment text box, you can enter any additional information about this document.
Other information
At the bottom of the form, you can view who created the document and the current status of the document, which can be one of the following:
- New (document was created, but not recorded)
- Not Posted (document was recorded, but not posted)
- Posted (document was posted)
- Marked for Deletion (document was marked to be deleted)
The toolbar buttons
After filling out the tab, click the Save button to save your work. After filling out all the tabs, click Post to save and post the document without closing it or Post and close to save, post, and close the document.
Use the Settings button to change the position of the Customer Order field in this document.
