You can create a new calendar from scratch or you can copy one of existing calendars.
The "Work Days Calendar (create)" form
If you are creating a new calendar manually, in the Description field, which is required, type a brief description of the calendar.
By default, the Year field shows the current year; change it if you need to start the calendar a year earlier.
A red font is used to mark days off and holidays. A black font is used to mark work days. Initially, all days are shown in red font.
To set up work days and days off, click Reset on the toolbar and select from a number of commonly-used types of calendars:
- Sun-Thu : Sunday through Thursday are work days, Friday and Saturday are days off.
- Mon-Fri : Monday through Friday are work days, Saturday and Sunday are days off.
- Sat-Thu : Only Friday is a day off.
Then, you can manually specify the holidays which fall on work days by double-clicking the appropriate days. Similarly, redefine the days off that will be work days.
The toolbar buttons
Click Reset If you want to mark days off on the calendar according to one of the available templates: Sun-Thu, Mon-Fri, or Sat-Thu.
Click Copy Calendar to select the source calendar from the list, and then adjust the days off and holidays. To change a work day to a day off (or holiday) or vise versa, double-click the date. Provide a description for the new calendar—Description is the required field—and save.
Click the Save button to save the new calendar or the Save and close button to save the calendar and close the form. For description of other buttons, refer to List toolbar.
