The "Import data from Excel" feature transfers data from an Excel sheet to a database. If you encounter any errors during this process (using Excel Import templates), please review the settings according to the following checklist:

        All fields in excel file should be filled with format as it was set in the corresponding excel template.

  1. A convenient tool for checking the correctness of filling in the fields in a file is uploading a file template when user try to import data from excel file. When hovering over the upper right corner of each column of the template, the user is prompted about the format for filling out this column.

       2. Under user with Administrator access profile it is possible to go to Administration - Master data - Excel Import Templates.       

Information about format of excel cells is on Fields tab of Template, "Format" column. In uploading excel file all fields should be filled with selected format.

         

      3.  In excel file it is needed to be checked -

  • all fields with numeric values must not contain zeros. If the value 0 is expected in any cell, you have to leave it empty without entering the symbol "0" into it.  

    

  • all fields with numeric values must not contain space symbol. For example: using 1000 separator it might be added spaces in between digits of the numbers - "2 230" - for automatically import from excel into ERP system - it is an error. Numerics should be filled without it - "2230".

      

      4. To check the correct operation of the data loading mechanism itself, you must enter the data manually into the system when user push Import from excel button:

With manually filling of data in external import template in the system you can check uploading of data of find some errors in filling.
