Using document barcodes and barcode scanners can make document management easier. Currently, the product supports one-dimensional (1D) barcodes.

Scanning a barcode on "paper" document , helps easily locate the corresponding "electronic" document in the system. Also, scanning barcodes allows you to group paper documents by their type and internal number at your workplace. For example, if you have a printed Invoice with barcode, open the list of Invoices in your system, scan the barcode, and an electronic version of the Invoice immediately opens in the system.

For adding scanners as peripherals to the application, refer to Adding a barcode scanner.
