As a result, the account password can no longer be used for email connections in the 1C: FirstBit app. To configure the email account, the user must make additional adjustments on to their email server.

I. If you need to add a Google mail account, follow these steps to connect your email:

  1. Enable Less Secure Apps (if necessary):

    • Go to your Google Account settings.
    • Under "Security," find the option for "Less secure app access" and enable it, or use App Passwords if 2-Step Verification is enabled.
  2. Generate an App Password (if using 2FA):

    • If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled, you must generate an app password.
    • Go to your Google Account > Security > App passwords, select the app and device you want to use, and generate the password.
  3. Configure the Mail Client:

    • In your email setup, input the following server settings:
      • Incoming Mail (IMAP): imap.gmail.com, Port 993, SSL enabled
      • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com, Port 465 or 587, SSL/TLS enabled
      • Username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., example@gmail.com)
      • Password: Your Google account password or the generated App Password
  4. Test the Connection:

    • After configuring the settings, test the connection to ensure everything is working correctly.
