The Taxes tab becomes available once the Taxes option is selected on the Main tab.

Using this tab, you can enter the beginning balances of taxes owed and tax returns.

To add a row, use the Add button.

In the Tax Type column, you can select the type of taxes for which you need to enter the beginning balance.

In the Type of Payment column, specify the type of transaction.

In the Balance Type column, specify the type of transaction.

The Amount (AED) column is used to enter the tax amount in the national currency).The Amount column with the accounting currency shown in the round brackets is populated automatically with the amount in the accounting currency according to the currency exchange rate in effect on the document date.

The GL Accounts column contains the link to the GL Accounts: Tax Type dialog box using which you can view the GL accounts involved in the transaction.

In the Transaction Content column, provide a description of this beginning balance.
