The application monitors the database, so objects are In FirstBIT ERP, objects can be deleted in two stages.

At the first stage, an object must be marked for deletion with the Mark for deletion/Unmark for deletion option. This command becomes available, when you right-click an object, click the More button on the form toolbar or use the Del hot key.

When you mark objects for deletion, the system checks balances, settlements, etc., so some objects cannot be marked for deletion.

To finish deleting procedure (the second stage), select the Marked Object Deletion in the Administration section.

Then select the deletion mode: automatic or selective. If you select the automatic mode, the application deletes all objects marked for deletion. In selective mode, the list of marked objects is displayed. The next step is to tick list objects, which you want to delete.

To delete objects from the application:

1.Users mark the selected objects for deleting. Before any object will become marked, the system checks if certain conditions are met. . If conditions are met, the item becomes marked for deletion. For details, see Setting Marks for Deletion.

2. You actually delete the marked objects by running the Marked Object Deletion service tool.

To actually delete the objects (documents) marked for deleting, use the Administration > Service Tools > Marked Object Deletion form.

You can select the deletion mode from the following options:

  • Automatically delete all selected objects: In this mode, the application selects all the marked objects that can be deleted. To use this mode, click Delete on the toolbar.
  • Delete objects selectively: In the selective mode, you must select among marked objects which you want to delete first.

Once you select the Delete objects selectively mode, the Next button appears on the toolbar. Click the button to view the list of all marked objects. By default, all objects are selected. Select the objects for actual deleting.

Note. Deleting of marked objects may take significant time. Generally, it is executed as a background process. You can speed up this operation if you select the Block all operations to speed up the deletion option at the bottom of the form. In this case, the operation will have the highest priority.

You can use the Image Added button to clear all the check boxes and the Image Added button to select all the check boxes. Manually you can clear or select a check box for any document or object.

Objects with the selected check boxes will be deleted.

When you are done selecting, click the Delete button on the bottom toolbar of a window.

If the application detects any reference to the marked object references during the process, it the object cannot be deleted. The application automatically generates If such objects have been detected, the application presents a list of objects that could not cannot be deleted , and a list of related linked objects that prevented the deletiondeleting.

For example, in the screenshot above, the object (Price With Discount 10%) cannot be deleted, because a number of contracts use it, and this price type is referred to in a number of customer orders and invoices. To delete this price type, you will need to mark these linked documents for deleting (by using the button) or replace in documents this price type for another one by using the Edit button). However, in many cases, a list of linked documents is not so long, and you can quickly and properly process it. Then, you can click the Retry Deletion button on the toolbar under the form heading.
