Generally, the company uses multiple deduction and accrual types for calculation of payroll, vacations, benefits, and sick leaves. Examples of accruals are various types of compensation the employees get in return for their work: salary or wages, commissions paid on sales, overtime pay, housing allowances, bonuses, and so forth. An example of deduction might be personal income tax which is withheld by employers in some countries. Image Removed

The Accruals and Deductions Types list

Initially, there are some default accrual and deduction types that are arranged in two predefined groups: Accruals and Deductions.
The accrual and deduction types can be arranged in a hierarchical structure by using groups (folders). The number of hierarchy levels is virtually unlimited.

The toolbar buttons

To add an accrual or deduction type, click the Create button on the toolbar, for details, refer to Adding an Accrual or Deduction type.

To edit an accrual or deduction type, double-click the line with its name or click the line and then click More on the toolbar and Edit from the drop-down list. You can add any number of deduction and accrual types.

As the list is populated, you can change its display settings. Click More actions on the toolbar and select Configure list. For more information on the list settings, see Work with the item list. .
Creating a Group of Accrual or Deduction Types

The hierarchy structure is built using the Create Group button on the toolbar. Click the button to open the Accrual and Deduction Types (create folder) form. Image Removed

To create a group, enter its description. If the created group is a subgroup of another (parent) group, specify the parent group in the Folder field.

Click Save to save the new group or the Save and close button to save the group and close the form.
