Problem: How to check users in the system and manage with them?

Solution: Use Service Tool Active Users as shown.

The system allows a log in of a limited number of users simultaneously.
This number of simultaneous users is determined by purchased license or licenses.
This number of licenses determines a number of sessions.

Session is active as user log in the database. Each log in is counted as an additional session.

If a user is connected but has not done anything for a while, so it is idle session or inactive session.
Such inactive sessions are removed automatically from database after 24 hours (or it depends on system settings).
Inactive sessions or idle sessions occur if:

  • user closes browser window/tab;
  • user closes thin client
  • user shut down PC or put it in sleep mode;
  • internet connection was lost.

These sessions may be closed with Terminate session option (see below) by user with Administrator’s Rights.

Session stays active if:

  • user does not switch off thin client and opens database in browser at the same time;
  • user changes PC and does not close current session in thin client or browser.

In order to close his active session instantly, the user should use Log out in the upper right corner:

1. To check how many users are in the system at the moment, go to Administration > Service Tools > Active Users:

2. In Active Users table, there is information about users who entered the type of used application (Thin client, Web client, Mobile application) and session's start time:

3. If inactive sessions or idle sessions occurs, user log in again and occupies two sessions, then terminate the earlier session using the button Terminate session:

4. Refresh Active Users list to be sure that user's session was terminated:
