QUESTION: Will the 1C:FirstBit software run on Linux?

ANSWER: Yes, if needed, we can provide a Linux client distributive.

For cloud databases: If you just need to run the client on a Linux platform, not the server, and databases are in the FirstBit cloud, then the FirstBIT licensing server will provide license. As for installation, it’s generally done through the graphical interface; we can provide instructions. There shouldn’t be any issues. The configuration is exactly the same as for the Windows version, and the interface is identical.

If the client opens the cloud database in a browser, there won’t be any difference at all, whether it’s Linux or Windows. In this case, everything should work.

For client's self-hosted  databases: It will not work, since our company does not have a solution for the FirstBIT Licensing Center for Linux, which is required for FirstBIT ERP \ Accounting \ Contracting. In other words, the 1C platform itself can work fully on Linux, but the licensing center cannot.
