The Production module enables you to account for costs of manufacturing the finished goods and disassembly of the finished goods. The costs of raw materials, labor and indirect costs can be allocated to these finished goods. Also, you can track the costs incurred in process of disassembly of the finished goods.
Addon: The Advanced Product Costing functional option is available upon request; it enables you to use Cost Objects and link costs to particular objects of the following types: Item, Project, Project Task, or Customer Order.
Master Data
You can add master records for new finished goods and for scrap resulted in process of manufacturing (assembling or disassembling). Also, you can create master records for specific warehouses related to production process.
Production Documents
The documents in this module are used for planning production, registering manufactured items and the scrap, and for allocating the costs of raw materials, parts, and other production costs to the finished goods.
- Production Order can be used to request manufacturing of certain quantity of finished goods.
- Transfer Order is user to request transfer of raw materials to a warehouse for manufacturing, the finished goods to a warehouse where they will be stocked.
- Production registers the manufactured goods, used raw materials and the scrap resulted in the manufacturing process.
- Inventory Transfer registers such movements.
- A Costing document allows you to specify and distribute indirect costs to items manufactured during the selected period of time.
Note. Production Order and Transfer Order become available within the Order Management addon.
Reports
The reports of the Production module provide you with the summary and detailed information on items ordered for manufacturing and their cost estimations, quantities and costs of manufactured items, direct costs and expenses incurred in the process, costs of work in progress, and other details.
