Extensions are used to add and customize new features in the standard database setup.
They can be implemented in both cloud-based and self-hosted databases. This manual will explain the steps to add the extension in self-host base.
Extention can be added in two modes:

Open the database by clicking on the " 1С:Enterprise" button. The following are the steps to add the file: Select Advanced tools.

This method can be used for both self-hosted and cloud-based infobases.
- Click on the arrow > click on Functions for Technician/advanced tools
If the "Functions for Technician" option is not available, click on Settings and enable the Technician Mode option.
Click the + sign next to Standard and select Manage Configuration Extensions.
Uncheck the Check applicability when adding and loading the extensions option. Click on Add and the browse option will open and path at which Add, which will open a browser dialog where you should select the path where the extension file is saved should be selected.
Once the file is selected, the following message will be received.
you will receive a confirmation message. Press Yes and then repeat the action.
If the extension does not appear in the table, repeat starting with start again by clicking Add. Now uncheck the safe mode, profile name and unsafe operation protection. System will again give security warning – select Yes. And then Make sure to uncheck Safe Mode, Profile Name, Force default roles for all users, and Unsafe Operation Protection
The system will give a Security Warning message > select Yes.
Then restart the application.

2. Designer mode:Anchor designermode designermode
Open the database by clicking on the " Designer " button.:
Go to Administration – > Active Users and check that nobody is using 1C right now. All users should log verify that no one uses 1C. Ensure all users have logged out.
Go to Administration – Dump Info base and create backup. Тhe name of backup file should include current date and words > Dump Infobase to create a backup. It's recommended to name the backup file with the current date and the phrase "before the update," though this step is not mandatory.
Go to Configuration – > Open configuration.:
Go to Configuration – > Configuration extensions.:
The following page will open.

As the extension is created, go to Configuration > Load configuration from the file:
Since the configuration is not empty, the system will notify with a warning:
As full configuration loaded, go to update:
