Case: how How to add grant access rights for object in Section which user has rights restrictions to accessa specific object within a section that a user normally has restricted access to.

Example:

A user do not have lacks access rights to see view the Sales and Purchasing sections , but it is needed to give him access rights but needs permission to read and edit Companies the company master data.

For instance, User Carl with , who has an HR Manager access profile only:

If if we need to give his grant him access right to read/edit Companies master data:

1.Create a new access profile with specific roles for Companies:

In Administration - Master Data - Access Groups Profiles, add a new profile and

assign roles for

the required object:

For Companies the Company's master data there , the following roles should be following rolesincluded:-

  • Add and Edit Companies Settings

  • Read

  • Companies

2. Give new Companies master data profile to user's access rights (in Administration - Master Data - Users, Access Rights tab):

After described applying the specified settings, user Carl will get access gain the rights to read and edit the Companies catalog, but still will not see it in his user interface (because as Companies master data includes in is part of the Sales and Purchasing sections, and user which Carl dows does not have access right to see these sections).

Solution:

User Carl can find locate the Company company's catalog by name via using the full-text search function at the very top of the ERP system forminterface.

FurtherAdditionally, if necessaryneeded, he user can search for find this directory via using the global search function, or - a more convenient option for work - add this directory , for more convenience, user can add it to the favorites panel ( by marking clicking the star icon in front of next to the Company name).
