display a report monthly for sales reports and purchasing reportsFor cases when the user needs to generate a report with data by month - so that the data for each month is displayed in a separate column of the report.

For this setting it is needed to use Change report variant functional option:

In opened window it is needed to make setting in Report Structure area. When user opens Change report variant - in Report Structure area there are hyerarcy structure of report by default.

To add Monthly groupping columns user shoul make following actions:

fixing on "Report" level and push "Add" - New table.

In Report Structure area Table section will appear without any data :

After it it is needed to fill Rows section as it was in original Report (it might be done with two way - user may fix attributes above table and move it into table, or ahother way - user may select attributes again under Rows in Table):

And next step:

under Column section it is needed to add New groupping as on pictures below:

and choose needed period: Month, half year, week, day - as it is reqiured for user.

Before saving it user should be sure that Report structure contains following section:

And also sort by Period.Months might be added (in other way report can not show months in chronological order). User can add sort on Sort tab in lower part of Change report variant window:

After it, it should be saved by Complete button. New variant of report will be generated in following way:

This setting is suitable for standard configuration reports, such as:

Sales section:

  • Sales by companies;
  • Sales by Items (Quantity and Amount based);
  • Sales by Salesman;
  • Sales by Customer Orders;
  • Sales By Projects;
  • Gross Profit.


Purchasing Section:

  • Purchases by Companies;
  • Purchases by Items;
  • Purchases by Purchase Orders;
  • Purchases By Projects.

Money:

Cash flow analysis (in Accounting Currency, in Transaction Currency).
